When Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart came back to Frankfurt in September 1790, he spent the second night of his stay in the «Gasthof zum Weißen Schwan», in the Steinweg. Nothing remains of this building either;we are standing in front of a modern office block.Today a wall-plaque commemorates only Bismarck’s peace settlement of 1871, which was signed in the «Zum Weißen Schwan».
